With final preparations completed, we are on our way from Calgary to Dublin, Ireland. Our flight is scheduled to depart at 7:55pm. The day was spent checking and double checking our bags and backpacks to be sure we are efficient with minimizing clothing as much as possible while still taking our essentials.
Typical essentials for us included a “day bag” for each day of travel. These bags included items we can’t live without: Ningxia Red packets, electrolytes, Essentialzyme digestive enzymes, True Lemon packages, flosser sticks, lens wipes, and Emergen-C packages. Once we arrive in Dublin, we will add a few more things to our day bags - instant coffee packets and sugar packets from the room for a mid-day dose of energy and snacks among other things!
I have mixed up a blend of essential oils called Morphine Bomb (for a pain alternative to Ibuprofen), as well as Allergy Bomb (as an alternative to antihistamines). These will be my go to before I reach for Ibuprofen or any other NSAIDS.
We arrived at YYC in good time and got to experience the new scanners in security. My backpack was pulled aside, and when I came to the counter, the fine screener looked in my bag and grumbled, "These new scanners think they are smarter than us." There were no problems, and I was quickly sent on my way.
Since we had a light lunch at home, cleaning up whatever was left in the fridge, we stopped in at Chili's for some appies and a beer.
See you on the other side of the Atlantic!
