With a French press full of coffee already served, we enjoyed a first course of overnight oats. Bill had the full Irish and said it was the best he's had. I had poached eggs and bacon on sourdough.
Just as breakfast had finished, we were blasted with some fierce rain and wind coming from the south, so for the meantime, we opted to just stay put until it passes. This gave me the opportunity to do some distance work on a client and to put my red light pad on for some back relief. A light addition to our packing with huge payoff!
I am grateful to have tools to my disposal to help us with maintaining good health and supporting recovery in a positive way. Bill has been really focusing on his neurotraining drills each day after he discovered the quick relief with a tight hamstring at the end of day two. Our red light pad optimizes cellular repair and provided muscle relief.
The weather eventually lightened up and we went out for a wander around to find something for an early supper. We stumbled upon a little restaurant called The Bay. It was right on the waterfront and had only eight small tables in it. The mixed fish and chips basket was wonderful! The batter was crispy and thin. The fish was moist and tender inside. We hit the jackpot!
One of the stops we wanted to make today was Foxy John's. This is a hardware store turned pub. There still are boxes of hardware sitting on a back shelf! Quite the place to be.
We wandered down to Hannie Agnes's for a pint (and a half pint for me) and to get another visit in with David before we headed out tomorrow. Traditional music had just started to play in the back room. We went into the back room and enjoyed a good hour of entertainment.
Here is a little snippet of how Caroline and Teresa sounded.
As tomorrow would be a longer walk, we stayed until 8pm, then stopped at the grocery store for snacks on our way back to the Emlagh Lodge to get ready for a big day.
